LA CROISÉE DES Z’ETHNOS – ADEM

‘Artisstep’ will take part for the second time after 2016 at the workshops organised by the Ateliers d’ ethnomusicologie. This time along with the La Croisée des Cultures 24th Workshop with Music and Dances from all over the World, ‘Artisstep’ will give a Workshop on Greek movements and dances with music for children aged 6-8 years old. The workshop will also include, a concert with Anna Koti, a professional singer and friend who will be teaching singing to the children. The workshop will end with a show in which the children will sing and dance, songs and dances which they have learned during the workshop.
OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION
The daouli (drum), tsambouna (bagpipes), clarinet and accordion create a festive atmosphere and lead the children on a journey of discovery to the dances of the Aegean Islands, Thrace and Crete. Anna Koti, singer and teacher, continues this adventure with an introduction to the traditional and contemporary Greek musical repertoires. The afternoon workshops will complete this Mediterranean journey: food, tales, art, plants, readings at the Jonction library.
